12 Places to Submit an MCP Server (2026)

Submitting an MCP server is not like submitting a product, and the difference will cost you an evening if nobody tells you first. On most of this list there is no form to fill in. The official registry publishes from a command line and hands your server a namespace you cannot change afterwards. Smithery connects to your server and reads its tool list, so a server that happens to be down cannot be listed at all. Awesome MCP Servers is a pull request against a README with 92,000 stars. LobeHub takes a CLI call. Three more simply read your GitHub repository and build the listing themselves.

Which leads to the thing worth checking before you start: a hosted, closed-source server is shut out of a good part of this list. MCP Directory reads your repo to build the page, so there is no way in without one. MCPMarket is free if you file a GitHub repository and $69 if your server is hosted, which is the same listing at two prices depending on which tab you open. Awesome MCP Servers needs a public repository too, though there the fix is a small separate repo describing the server rather than opening your product's source, which is the mistake most people make when they hit that wall.

One of the twelve is not taking submissions at the moment. PulseMCP is in the list because it still ranks and still gets read, and because its own answer is to send you to the official registry instead, which is a useful thing to know before you spend twenty minutes looking for its submit button.

The rest is the ordinary trade. Free and instant at LibHunt, which takes a repository URL and links out followed. Free but reviewed at MCP.so, the largest of them, where $39 skips the queue. Free at Glama, which indexes servers itself and scores each one for quality and safety before you have any say in it. Start with the official registry, because the protocol's own repository now sends everyone there and the namespace is worth claiming early.
