What you actually get
A page at /project/<slug> with your description, category, up to five tags, an icon, up to ten screenshots, an upvote count and comments, plus a Visit Website button straight to your domain. Ours went live the moment it was submitted and its anchor is rel="noopener noreferrer", with no nofollow. The board sorts by Trending, Newest and Most Upvoted, so what you get after the first day depends on votes.
How to submit to OpenUpvote
- Sign in/submit redirects to /auth/login. Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or an email and password.
- Fill one pageTitle and description are the only required fields. Website URL, one category from eleven, comma-separated tags, an icon and up to ten images are all optional.
- Submit, or save a draftSave as Draft keeps it invisible to others. Submit Project publishes it straight away and it appears under /my-projects and at /project/<slug>.

Gotchas
Get Featured lists "Dofollow backlink to your website" as one of four things $29 buys, and our free listing already has it: the Visit Website anchor is rel="noopener noreferrer" with no nofollow. What the money actually buys is homepage placement, a badge and priority review.
Most of the board is not submitted, it is mirrored from the Product Hunt API. Those cards' Visit buttons go to producthunt.com/r/<code> rather than to the maker's site, and they carry a utm_source naming the API application. Yours behaves differently because you gave a Website URL.
Publishing is instant and there is no review, so the ordering is the whole game: Trending, Newest and Most Upvoted are the three tabs, and a project with no votes falls off Newest within a day.
The account is real, with Google and Apple sign-in, and the project stays editable afterwards from /my-projects. Nothing tells you that before you reach the form, because /submit just bounces to the login page.
Let your agent submit to OpenUpvote
Connect SubmitMap to your AI over MCP and this page stops being something you read and copy. Your agent asks for the OpenUpvote playbook and gets the brief for this exact form, with the values already taken from your submission pack instead of placeholders you fill in by hand.
What it does for this platform
Checks your product against the 3 OpenUpvote rules above, so you find out you would be rejected before you open a tab.
Hands your agent all 8 fields this form asks for, 5 of them optional, already filled from your pack.
Tells you what paying buys here, so you pick it on purpose: submitting is free with an account. Get Featured is $29 for 7 days or $79 for 30, and nothing is charged at the form: they review first and email a payment link within 24 hours.
Types it into OpenUpvote in your own browser, and stops for you when the form wants a sign-in.
Records what it sent, so the dashboard can answer "did I ever submit to OpenUpvote?".
