Eligibility
Who Open Launch accepts
You need
An account, created by Google sign-in in one click
A logo and a wide product image, both uploaded rather than linked
A launch date, which decides when the listing goes on the board
You'll be rejected if
Anyone who needs a listing on the board within six months on the free lane, since the free calendar is booked to the far edge of its 180-day window
Anyone counting on the link, because the free lane's dofollow is conditional on a top-three finish and is nofollow until then

What you actually get
A project page that goes live the moment you submit, carrying a Scheduled banner and your launch date, then a day on the board at 08:00 UTC when that date arrives. Categories, tech stack and your GitHub and Twitter links all render on it, and the page stays up afterwards as a permanent listing.

Gotchas
The free calendar offers 180 days and almost none of them are bookable. On the day this was walked, one date was open, at the far end of the window six months out, and the other 179 were full.
The followed link is a prize for the day's top three, not something the listing comes with. Everything below that keeps the nofollow it launches with.
The board is not the same site as open-launch.com, which runs the same open-source code at a higher domain rating. Listings do not carry across, so submitting to one does nothing for the other.
Let your agent submit to Open Launch
Connect SubmitMap to your AI over MCP and this page stops being something you read and copy. Your agent asks for the Open Launch playbook and gets the brief for this exact form, with the values already taken from your submission pack instead of placeholders you fill in by hand.
What it does for this platform
Checks your product against the 5 Open Launch rules above, so you find out you would be rejected before you open a tab.
Hands your agent all 9 fields this form asks for, 1 of them optional, already filled from your pack.
Tells you what paying buys here, so you pick it on purpose: free Launch is $0: five slots a day, scheduling up to 180 days out, and a followed link only if the launch finishes top three. Premium Launch is $9 and skips the queue, with a followed link from day one, ten slots a day and a homepage feature for seven days.
Types it into Open Launch in your own browser, and stops for you when the form wants a sign-in.
Records what it sent, so the dashboard can answer "did I ever submit to Open Launch?".
