Who WIP accepts

You need
A paid membership, taken before the signup form exists
Something you will post progress on daily, because the feed is the product
You'll be rejected if
You want a one-off listing: a project with nothing posted under it does nothing here
You will not pay, since no free tier exists at any point in the flow

What you actually get
A project page inside a community that is genuinely active: 3,758 members, 4,953 projects, a topic taxonomy about fifty deep, and people on the front page carrying streaks past 2,700 days. The audience is other makers, which for a developer tool is the right room. The outbound link is nofollowed and rewritten with a ?ref=wip parameter, so nothing about this is an SEO play; you are paying for the room, not the link.

How to submit to WIP

  1. Read the plans before anything else
wip.co/join opens on a seven-screen carousel. The Skip to plans control in the top right jumps straight to the only two options, $199 a year and $29 a month, and there is no third card.
  2. Create the account, which is the same step as paying
After the plans comes a three-field form: email, username (it becomes wip.co/@you) and password. Its button reads Continue to checkout, so the account and the card are one step.
  3. Add the project from settings
Once you are in, Add your Project on wip.co/projects points at /settings/projects/new. Signed out that path just redirects to the sign-in page, so this half of the flow is not visible until the membership exists.
  4. Post to it, or it does nothing
A project accumulates posts, a Done count and a streak, all of which render on its page. This is the actual mechanism: the listing is a feed of your updates rather than a description of your product.

Gotchas

You cannot get an account without paying. The signup form sits after the plan picker and its last button reads Continue to checkout, so there is nothing to try first and no free membership to fall back on.
A project page prints your Done count and your streak beside your name, so one you stop updating advertises that you stopped. The listing is only ever as good as the last thing you posted to it.

Let your agent submit to WIP

Connect SubmitMap to your AI over MCP and this page stops being something you read and copy. Your agent asks for the WIP playbook and gets the brief for this exact form, with the values already taken from your submission pack instead of placeholders you fill in by hand.

What it does for this platform
Checks your product against the 4 WIP rules above, so you find out you would be rejected before you open a tab.
Hands your agent all 6 fields this form asks for, none of them optional, already filled from your pack.
Tells you what paying buys here, so you pick it on purpose: $29 a month or $199 a year, which they frame as five months free. Both cards are PRO and there is no free membership: the join wizard reaches the plan picker before it reaches the signup form.
Types it into WIP in your own browser, and stops for you when the form wants a sign-in.
Records what it sent, so the dashboard can answer "did I ever submit to WIP?".
