What you actually get
A listing at /products/<slug> with a followed link to your site, read by very few people. The site's own pulse counter says 29 active makers, 275 products and 1,258 upvotes cast, the domain was registered in July 2026, and yesterday's top products are Spotify, YouTube, Skillshare and Udemy on one upvote each, which is a board seeded by its founder rather than a queue of launches. The Advertise page claims 800,000 newsletter subscribers and 4.2 million monthly views against those numbers. Come for the link and the low effort, not for the day's traffic.
How to submit to IndiHunt
- Sign inThe header carries no Submit button until you do. The modal shows GitHub as a labelled button, with Google, Facebook and Apple as an unlabelled icon row underneath; LinkedIn and X are drawn greyed out. Google opens a Supabase OAuth callback and creates the account in the same click.
- Finish the profile it interrupts you withBefore anything else, an onboarding panel asks for a display name, username, LinkedIn, X, a 40 character headline and an age confirmation, with three newsletters pre-ticked. The display name is whatever your Google account is called, and it is what gets printed under the launch.
- Paste the URL and let it scrapeSubmit, then Submit Product, asks for one field: the product's address. Get started opens a four screen wizard with the name, tagline, description and thumbnail already filled from your meta tags.
- Fill the wizardMain info takes the name (40), tagline (60), description (500), extra store links, the Made in India, open source and student checkboxes, an X username, one to three launch tags and the first comment. Images and media takes the square thumbnail, the gallery, and optional video and demo links. Makers decides whether you are published as the product's maker or only as its hunter.
- Schedule the launchThe last screen scores completion against seven required fields and ends in Create draft or Schedule launch. Their FAQ says a date can be chosen up to 30 days ahead; nothing on the site states an editorial review, and llm.txt describes only automated moderation of the text.

Gotchas
Their FAQ allows one launch per product, and you choose the date yourself, so a day that lands badly is the only day you get until you have a major new version to relaunch with.
The Makers screen defaults to "I didn't work on this product", which publishes your own launch with you credited as its hunter and nobody credited as its maker. Change it before you schedule.
Pasting your URL on the first screen scrapes the site and writes your name, tagline, description and thumbnail from your meta tags. Nothing warns you, and that copy is the listing until you overwrite it.
