What you actually get
A dated launch slot on a board that runs weekly rankings, with your logo, a featured image, up to five feature bullets and a category page. The free listing does not carry a dofollow link; their 99 pound add-on is what sells that separately.

How to submit to Tiny Startups

1
Sign in first
/submit is a wall until you do. Google works, or they will email a sign-in link.
2
Fill one long page
Name, a 60-character tagline, a description over fifty characters, up to five key features, logo, featured image, URL, category, and four optional questions.
3
Untick the upgrade
The next screen opens with "Skip the queue" already ticked at 99 pounds and an add-on total to match. Four more paid boxes sit under it. The button reads Submit for Free once they are all clear.
4
Visit five launches
A gate, not a suggestion: the submission is not confirmed until the counter reads 5 of 5. Each Check it out marks one.
5
Take the badge and note the date
The confirmation page names your launch date and hands you a badge marked required for free submissions.

Gotchas

The queue is the product. Their own upgrade screen told us 1,513 startups were ahead of us, and the date we were given was two months out.
"Skip the queue" is pre-ticked at 99 pounds with a total already showing, so the free lane starts as a 99 pound checkout until you untick it.
Submitting is not the last step. Until you have opened five other launches the listing sits unconfirmed, and nothing on the form warns you first.
The badge is required of free submissions and only appears on the confirmation page, after the work is done.
The free listing is not dofollow. That is one of the five paid add-ons, at 99 pounds, and the prices are in pounds rather than dollars.
