What you actually get
A card in a developer-tools directory of around 387 products, filed on one of thirty shelves that run from CSS frameworks and JS plugins to SEO and marketing resources, with separate sections for communities and podcasts. Two things temper that. The submission endpoint answered HTTP 500 on consecutive attempts, and the tool grid itself loads inconsistently: it renders the full catalogue on some visits and hangs on 'Loading tools...' on others, in the same browser, with the underlying data file returning 200 either way. The link would be a dofollow: the string nofollow does not appear anywhere in the app's fourteen script bundles, and the one outbound link that renders reliably carries only noopener noreferrer.

How to submit to Appydev

  1. Pick what you are submitting
    Three separate routes: /submit/tool, /submit/community and /submit/podcast. No account and no sign-in at any point.
  2. Fill the tool details
    Logo, name, website, a tagline capped at 60 characters, a description and a cover image, then one of thirty categories.
  3. Answer the two extras
    An open-source thumbs up or down, and a pricing choice of Free, Paid or a shrug. There is no freemium option.
  4. Name the maker
    Created By is required and takes a name or a social handle. A social URL and your email are optional.
  5. Press Submit and read the toast
    The form posts to a serverless function. A pink toast reading 'Failed, please try again' means the endpoint answered 500 and nothing was recorded.

Gotchas

The form is complete and free and the submission does not go through. Every field fills, validation passes, and Submit posts to /.netlify/functions/submit, which answered HTTP 500 twice in a row and showed a toast reading 'Failed, please try again'.
The directory is unreliable about showing its own catalogue. The same browser gets the full grid of 387 tools on one visit and an endless 'Loading tools...' on the next, so a listing here may or may not be visible to anyone on a given day.
There is no account, so nothing can be checked afterwards. The email field is optional and is the only channel that exists.
Pricing is Free, Paid or a shrug. Freemium has nowhere to go, so a product with a free tier and a paid plan has to misstate itself in one direction or the other.
