What you actually get
A "YourProduct vs Competitor" page under a category filter, live from 02:00 on the Monday of the week you pick and on the weekly board for seven days. The pitch is capturing people who search a competitor's name before they switch. There is no review: you publish it yourself.

How to submit to Alt Hunt

  1. Sign in with Google
    One click, no password, and it is the only method. The OAuth consent screen names their Supabase project rather than Alt Hunt, which is disconcerting but normal.
  2. Fill /new
    Your URL and name, the competitor's URL and name, one category from fifteen, optional notes for the draft, and a launch week. The current week closes on Wednesday, so a late submission gets next Monday.
  3. Generate the draft
    It takes 20 to 40 seconds and writes a feature table, a pricing table and a long body comparing you to the competitor.
  4. Read every number before publishing
    You land on a Review screen with everything editable. This is the step that matters.

Gotchas

The generated draft invents facts about the competitor. Ours asserted a per-submission price for a company that does not publish one, then did arithmetic on it, and it got our own subscription price wrong as well.
Whatever it writes goes out under your name against a named company, so the Review screen is not a formality: check every price and every claim or do not publish.
The free plan is one page, and generating a draft uses the slot, so pick the competitor you actually want before you start.
Pages go live at 02:00 on the Monday of the week you chose and sit on the board for seven days, so this is a scheduled launch rather than an instant listing.
Do not close the tab while it generates: they warn that the draft cannot be recovered.
