What you actually get
A careers profile, not a product listing. The company page for a well-known startup is titled "<Company> Careers" and carries no outbound link to the company's own site at all. What it gets you is candidates, which is worth a great deal if you are hiring and nothing at all if you are not.
How to submit to Wellfound

Understand which product you are signing up for
/recruit/signup is headed "Meet your next great hire" and sub-headed "Post jobs and review job seekers". There is no separate product-listing route: the company profile is a by-product of the recruiter account.

Sign up
Continue with Google, or full name, work email and a password of at least twelve characters. The cookie banner offers Reject All and the site works fine afterwards.

Set a password anyway
The Google route does not finish the job. After the OAuth consent it lands on a page reading "Thanks for connecting Google. Please create a password" with a twelve-character minimum, so Google here is an identity step rather than a sign-in.

The profile, the team and the culture material all live inside the recruiter account, and the jobs are what make any of it visible.

Signing in with Google does not avoid a password. The OAuth round trip finishes on a page that says "Thanks for connecting Google. Please create a password", with a twelve-character minimum.
The company page is a careers page. Stripe's is titled "Stripe Careers" and carries no link to stripe.com anywhere on it, so there is nothing here for a product launch.
Roundups list Wellfound among startup directories because of what AngelList used to be. The product it is now is a hiring marketplace, and the sign-up says so in its own headline.
