Directories and newsletters are refused by name in rule 3 of the submission form, so a maker who built either will be rejected however good the product is, and only finds out by reading the rules above the fields.
An affiliate or bit.ly URL in the tool link is grounds for rejection under rule 4, even though the form separately asks for an affiliate URL in its own field.
One listing per tool is the stated maximum, so a resubmission is an update rather than a second entry and has to be flagged as one in the Listing details section.
