What you actually get
If a maintainer ever came back, a row in one of six categories on a site whose outbound links carry no nofollow. What actually happens is that the pull request joins a queue: the repository behind the site was last pushed on 7 May 2025, it carries 117 open issues and more than a hundred open pull requests, and the recent ones adding tools have all sat unmerged since August. Treat this as a directory that stopped accepting rather than one that is slow.

How to submit to AI Tool List

  1. Read the three-line instruction
    /submit-a-tool is not a form. It says to fork the awesome-ai-tool-list repository, add your tool to the appropriate category in README.md, and open a pull request.
  2. Check the queue before you fork
    Open github.com/aitoollist/awesome-ai-tool-list and look at the pull requests and the last push date. That is the whole decision, and it takes a minute.
  3. Open the pull request, if you still want to
    One line in README.md under the right heading. There is no account on the site itself and nothing else to fill in.

Gotchas

The submission goes to an abandoned repository. github.com/aitoollist/awesome-ai-tool-list was last pushed on 7 May 2025 and holds 117 open issues and over a hundred open pull requests; the tool-adding ones from August are all still open, and the one that was closed was closed without being merged.
There is no form and no account, so there is nothing to check afterwards either. A pull request is the only artefact, and its status on GitHub is the only signal you will ever get.
The six categories are chat and text, image and art, audio and speech, productivity, writing and finance. Anything outside those has nowhere to go even in principle, and the site's footer still reads 2025.
