What you actually get
A permanent project page that goes live immediately marked Scheduled, then a launch day with upvoting. Their own homepage counter puts the last 30 days at 836 visitors and 2,019 page views, so size the launch accordingly. On the free tier the link only becomes dofollow if you finish in that day's top three, and the page carries an Upgrade banner until you pay.

How to submit to Stellar Launch

1
Sign in
Login with Google or GitHub, or email and password behind a Cloudflare Turnstile widget. No password needed on the OAuth route.
2
Project info
Name, website URL, a 160-character tagline, a rich-text description, a 1:1 logo and an optional 16:9 product image. Both images are capped at 1MB and converted to WebP for you. An Autofill with AI button sits next to the URL.
3
Details
Three categories from about 65, up to five tags in a press-Enter chip input, platforms, pricing model and optional GitHub and X URLs.
4
Launch date
Free Launch is preselected. The date picker lists 179 days with a free-slot count against each; scheduling runs up to 180 days out.
5
Review and submit
A full review screen, then Submit Project. The page is live immediately, marked Scheduled with its date.

Stellar Launch requirements

1:1 logo, 1MB max
Tagline, 160 characters max
Rich-text description
Exactly 3 categories, at least 1 tag, at least 1 platform
16:9 product image, 1MB maxoptional

Gotchas

The free queue is genuinely full: on 14 August 2026 every day from then until 5 December had zero free slots, and the first opening was 6 December, about 16 weeks out.
The free dofollow is conditional on finishing in the day's top three. $6.49 removes the condition, and the project page shows an Upgrade banner until you take it.
Five free slots a day against five paid ones means the free lane is half the capacity and the whole backlog.
